Galette des Rois
A traditional pie, baked for the Epiphany on the 6th January, this galette is also known as a "kings' cake". Made of layers of puff pastry and frangipane (a moist almond cream with a touch of custard) they always contain a small ceramic figurine, known as the fève. When enjoying the galette des rois, the person who finds the fève is given a golden paper crown to wear as Roi (king) for the day.
Note: this galette comes with the crown included.
We strongly recommend pre-ordering as our galettes sell out each year, and once sold out, they may not be continued past 6th January (the Epiphany).
Please take care when eating this cake - the fève is a fully baked porcelain figurine!
